NDLEA arrests 52 drug suspects in new Kano operation

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) launched 'Operation Sharar Mafaka' in Kano, resulting in the arrest of 52 suspects. The operation, which began on April 27, 2026, targeted over 20 drug hotspots in the metropolis, with arrests made in areas such as Filin Idi and Hotoro Flyover. A total of four women were among those apprehended, and assorted illicit drugs and locally made weapons were recovered.
