“He’s just a Northern kid” — Sowunmi fires back at Baba-Ahmed for calling Tinubu a failure

PDP chieftain Segun Sowunmi criticized PRP National Chairman Hakeem Baba-Ahmed after he called President Bola Tinubu a failure. Baba-Ahmed said on Channels Television that Tinubu had failed to address poverty and insecurity or strengthen institutions after three and a half years in office. Appearing on Vanguard’s Politics Hub, Sowunmi called him a “Northern kid” and questioned what regional leaders had achieved with resources allocated to the North. He invoked the legacies of Tafawa Balewa and Ahmadu Bello and said Baba-Ahmed did not speak for the entire North.
