Kindu University in the Maniema province is facing protests from administrative and labor staff, disrupting its operations. Rector Professor Déogratias Kimenya Musailwa explained that these tensions stem from financial difficulties and disagreements over bonus payments, with staff demanding monthly payments instead of bi-monthly. These issues have also delayed the closure of the academic year, originally scheduled for July 31.
