Kenya Power Attributes High Post-Paid Meter Bills to Frequent System Auto-Corrections

Kenya Power explained that high bills for post-paid meters are due to errors in manual meter reading. The Chairperson of the Board, Joy Mdivo, stated that the meters rely on human meter readers, leading to inconsistencies in billing. When incorrect readings are corrected, the system automatically adjusts consumption, which can result in suddenly high bills for customers.
