Five EU nations inch towards deal on migrant ‘return hubs’ by 2027

Five European nations, including Germany, Austria, Greece, Denmark, and the Netherlands, have agreed on concrete steps to establish migrant return hubs outside the European Union. Danish Immigration Minister Morten Bodskov stated that an agreement with a partner country is expected around New Year. The group will reconvene in Munich at the end of September to advance the plan, which raises concerns about human rights risks.
