Nairobi Africa-France summit must set new rules of the game

On May 11-12, 2026, Kenya will co-host the France-Africa Summit in Nairobi, named the 'Africa Forward Summit'. This summit will bring together African and French government representatives, private sector actors, and development partners to discuss development finance, investment, economic transformation, and security. It signifies a turning point in Africa-France relations as traditional political and economic arrangements are being challenged.
