Corruption in Ivory Coast: HABG reveals crackdown cases and gains 60 places in CPI

The president of HABG, Épiphane Zoro Bi Ballo, announced on June 4, 2026 that Ivory Coast moved from 136th to 76th place in the corruption perception index, a gain of 60 places. He also revealed that corruption costs the Ivorian economy between 1,300 and 1,400 billion FCFA per year. In 2025, HABG received 9,844 asset declarations out of 10,858 expected, achieving a compliance rate above 90%. The SIGN reporting platform has strengthened citizen participation.
