Delta: Sapele council chairman, Abeke kidnapped

Mr. Bright Abeke, the chairman of Sapele local government council, was kidnapped on Friday night along Owumi road in Delta state. One of his security aides was shot and taken to a hospital by bystanders. The kidnappers drove a Range Rover SUV, and it remains unconfirmed whether they abandoned the vehicle or used it to escape with the hostage. There has been no ransom demand made to Abeke's family, raising concerns about security in the area.
