Konza Technopolis Officially Changes Name to Technopolis Development Authority

The Konza Technopolis Development Authority (KoTDA) has officially changed its name to Technopolis Development Authority (TDA) following President William Ruto's assent to the Technopolis Act, 2026 on May 11, 2026. The Act, identified as No. 13 of 2026, was gazetted in Kenya Gazette Supplement No. 120 on May 15, 2026. The authority stated that the name change reflects an expanded mandate and does not affect any obligations or contractual relationships. Earlier in the year, several other government bodies also underwent name changes, such as the Kenya Meteorological Department rebranding to Kenya Meteorological Service Authority.
