A teenager hit by a train while crossing the tracks looking at her phone in Belgium

A 14-year-old girl was seriously injured in Kapellen, Belgium, after being hit by a train while crossing a level crossing. Safety devices were activated, with red lights and an audible alert functioning. According to Mayor An Stokmans, the girl was distracted by her phone at the time of the accident. She was taken to the hospital in serious condition after being dragged a short distance by the train.
