In Yamoussoukro, 'Aube Nouvelle' Leaves Civil Society for the Political Arena

The Aube Nouvelle movement, led by Vincent Toh Bi Irié, announced its transformation into a political formation during a convention at the Félix Houphouët-Boigny Foundation on April 11, 2026. After six years of engagement as an NGO, the movement aims to reconcile Ivorians with the electoral process, in light of a deep crisis of trust in traditional parties. Over 70% of Ivorians believe that existing political formations do not represent their interests, fueling the democratic disaffection that Aube Nouvelle seeks to combat.
