Transfer: Giannelli Imbula Wanga returns to the pitch

Giannelli Imbula Wanga has officially joined Beauvais, which was relegated to Régional 2, France’s seventh tier, following financial difficulties. The 34-year-old former Congolese international defensive midfielder will try to help the club earn promotion with experience gained at clubs including Marseille, Porto and Stoke City. The move may also help him regain match fitness ahead of a possible future opportunity in another league.
