ADC, ICPC clash over El-Rufai's hospital visit, detention conditions

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) accused the ICPC of denying adequate medical care to former Kaduna Governor Nasir El-Rufai and violating his rights in detention. According to the ADC, doctors at the National Hospital, Abuja recommended hospitalization due to his deteriorating health, but ICPC officials insisted on returning him to custody. Protests by his wife and personal physician led to his wife being assaulted and the doctor arrested. The ICPC rejected these allegations, claiming El-Rufai abused the court-approved medical visit.
