Benin's National Agency for the Identification of Persons (Anip) has tripled birth registration rates through a single window in ten pilot centers. In six months, over 13,000 births were registered at the maternity ward, a rate above 76%, compared to about 22% nationally in 2025. Director General Aristide Adjinacou attributes this success to simplified procedures and health worker mobilization. National expansion is planned after resolving technical and logistical issues.
