Prof. Ochefu Rejects Appointment to NDC National Campaign Council

Professor Yakubu Ochefu, a lecturer in Economic History and Strategic Studies at Rev. Fr. Moses Orshio Adasu University in Makurdi, has rejected his purported appointment to the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) National Campaign Council. He says he has never been an NDC member and was neither consulted nor asked for consent before his name appeared on a list circulating on social media. Ochefu has written to the council chairman to decline the appointment and request that his name be removed. He said his roles as National Chairman of the Association of Nigerian Universities Alumni and President-General of Ochetoha K’Idoma require him to remain non-partisan.
