A major Saharan dust invasion is affecting several regions of Senegal on July 14, according to ANACIM. Dakar, Thiès, Diourbel, Louga, Saint-Louis, Matam, Podor, Linguère, Kaffrine, Kaolack and Fatick are impacted, with reduced visibility and severe air quality deterioration. People with respiratory conditions, the elderly, and young children are particularly at risk. Additionally, rain and thunderstorms are forecast in the south and southeast, notably in Kédougou, Kolda, Sédhiou, and Ziguinchor.
