2026 World Cup: Haitian schoolchildren celebrate their national team

Haitian schoolchildren organized their own World Cup, called Ti Mondial 2026, to celebrate their national team's first FIFA World Cup qualification in 54 years. The mini tournament, orchestrated by the UN Bureau in Haiti and NGO Viva Rio, selected 48 schools to represent the 48 participating countries. The event's slogan was 'a match for peace,' aiming to let young people have fun and promote peace.
