Lukman Owolabi Ganiyu, an American-Nigerian citizen, was arrested on September 2 in Dallas for monetizing the approval of green cards and naturalizations for over six years. Along with his alleged accomplice, Adeniyi Akeem Somoye, he faces conspiracy charges for receiving illegal gratuities. Investigators traced nearly $960,000 in suspicious transactions in his accounts, and WhatsApp exchanges document their dealings. Ganiyu could face up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
