Abuja Court to deliver judgment in DSS staff N5.5bn suit against SERAP May 5

A High Court in the Federal Capital Territory has set May 5 for judgment in a N5.5 billion defamation suit filed by two operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) against the non-governmental organization SERAP. Claimants Sarah John and Gabriel Ogundele accuse SERAP of making false claims regarding an invasion of their Abuja office. Both parties presented their arguments, with SERAP arguing that the claimants did not establish they were the individuals referred to in the alleged defamatory materials.
