Access to water in Chad: at least 3 dead in a new intercommunal clash

At least three people were killed on Monday in an intercommunal clash in eastern Chad, related to tensions over water resource sharing. Previous clashes had already resulted in 42 deaths on Saturday between the tama and zaghawa communities in the Guéréda sub-prefecture. The situation, although under control, remains tense in this region where conflicts over access to water are common.
