Accord Chairman shot in Osun, Police launch probe

The Chairman of Accord in Osogbo Local Government Area, Asimiyu Ajibola, was shot by suspected gunmen on Wednesday night around 9:50pm in the MDS area of Osogbo. The occupants of his car escaped to Dugbe Police Headquarters. Ajibola was hospitalized at University of Osun Teaching Hospital. Police launched an attempted murder investigation, and the Information Commissioner condemned the attack, citing possible political undertones.
