Plateau govt must compensate us if it wants peace – Fulani group

A advocacy group, Voice of Fulani, has demanded monetary compensation from the Plateau State Government for years of killings, community destruction, and livestock rustling across the state. During a meeting in Jos, they reported that Fulani communities have suffered attacks, property destruction, and displacement, with losses affecting their livelihoods. The group is currently assessing their damages and consulting leaders to determine the compensation amount, which could run into billions of naira, covering incidents over the past two decades in areas including Barkin Ladi, Riyom, Mangu, Bassa, Bokkos, Jos South, and Jos East.
