Adeyemi denies hiding, says he borrowed N400m to secure PFIPC appointment

Adeniyi Adeyemi, who claims to be the director-general of the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC), denied hiding from law enforcement, stating he feared for his life due to death threats. He reiterated that he paid N400 million through a proxy to Femi Gbajabiamila, Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu, to secure his appointment. Adeyemi said he borrowed the money and that his lenders have reported to the EFCC. The presidency denies the existence of PFIPC and has ordered an investigation, while Gbajabiamila threatens legal action.
