AFC Champions League: Édouard Mendy crowned for the second consecutive time with Al Ahli SC

Senegalese goalkeeper Édouard Mendy of Al Ahli SC won the AFC Champions League final by defeating Machida Zelvia 1-0 after extra time on Saturday in Jeddah. The match was tied 0-0 at the end of regulation, and Al Ahli SC played with ten men after the expulsion of Zakaria Al Hawsawi. Mendy, who also served as captain, adds to his accolades by becoming the only Senegalese footballer to have won major titles on three continents.
