South Africa: More Than 1,000 Fuel Stations Run Dry As Easter Travel Begins

Over 1,000 fuel stations in South Africa are dry as the Easter weekend begins, with Gauteng being the hardest hit region. 306 stations are out of diesel and 202 are out of petrol. The shortage is due to a rush of motorists filling up before a price hike on April 1, overwhelming the delivery system. Normal supply is expected to return early next week.
