Africa: International Airlines Urged to Stick to Safety Measures in Wake of Ebola Outbreak

A deadly strain of Ebola is spreading in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), with over 900 suspected cases and around 220 deaths. The World Health Organization has declared the outbreak a public health emergency of international concern. The International Civil Aviation Organization is urging governments and flight operators to strictly adhere to WHO recommendations to mitigate Ebola-related risks.
