AI actors and writers not eligible for Oscars - Academy

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced that AI-created actors will not be eligible for Oscars. Only real human performances, with consent, will be considered in the Acting category. Additionally, screenplays must be human-authored to qualify in the Writing categories. This ruling comes after an AI version of the late actor Val Kilmer was unveiled last year.
