Aigle Royal de la Menoua: players go on strike

Players of Aigle Royal de la Menoua have suspended training with three matchdays left in the championship to protest against unpaid wages. In a letter dated June 9, 2026, they demand four months of overdue salaries (February to May) and the remainder of two victory bonuses from wins against PWD Bamenda and Gazelle FA. The strike comes shortly after the club secured its survival in MTN Elite One with a 1-0 victory over Gazelle FA.
