Starting from the 2026-2027 season, the Algerian Football Federation (FAF) requires professional clubs to register at least three players born in 2006. This reform aims to promote the emergence of new local talents and revitalize training in Algeria. Clubs will also have to adhere to a limit of four foreign players per team, who must have at least five official international caps in the last three years.
