Bago urges religious leaders to preach peace, tolerance

Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, urged religious leaders to continue preaching peace and tolerance for national unity and development. During a condolence visit for the death of 37 artisanal miners, he advised Islamic leaders to stay away from politics and promote peace and God-fearing behavior. Bago also called for prayers for prosperity and divine intervention amid security challenges in the state. Malam Jibril Isah, the Chief Imam of Minna, led prayers for the deceased and for peace and unity across Nigeria.
