Amnesty condemns Jilli market airstrike

Amnesty International condemned a military airstrike on a market along the Borno–Yobe border that occurred on Saturday. Witnesses reported that three military jets bombed the market, killing over 100 people and injuring at least 35 others, who were admitted to Geidam General Hospital. The organization criticized the use of air power in a civilian setting and called on authorities to investigate the incident and hold those responsible accountable.
