An attack by the CRP militia disrupts Easter in Djugu

Easter celebrations were disrupted on April 5, 2026, in Djugu, where CRP militia attacked FARDC positions in Lodha, resulting in one militia member killed and one soldier injured. The attack caused panic, preventing many displaced persons from reaching their places of worship. MONUSCO peacekeepers, supported by the Congolese army, repelled the attackers and established positions to secure the area.
