Social media posts claim an uncontrollable military mutiny has broken out in Abidjan, but this is false. The images actually show maritime affairs agents on strike demanding payment of a housing allowance. The man presented as a mutiny leader is Sergeant Madjou Glé Henri Joël, general secretary of SYNABEPAM. Security forces arrested about twenty union leaders, leading to a tense but unarmed standoff.
