Anambra plans tax education to boost internally generated revenue

The Anambra State Government plans a broad tax education campaign for residents to boost internally generated revenue. Commissioner for Information Dr. Law Mefor announced the initiative during a visit to AIRS Chairman Ikeazor Okonkwo at the Revenue House in Awka. The campaign will focus on awareness and persuasion before enforcement, especially in rural and informal sectors. The agency will not introduce new taxes but will implement existing laws, including the Nigerian Tax Act 2025.
