Appeal Court shifts judgment in David Mark, Aregbesola's appeal against FHC judgment

The Court of Appeal in Abuja has postponed to July 13, 2026 the judgment in the appeal filed by David Mark and Rauf Aregbesola against the Federal High Court ruling that stopped them from dissolving the State Working Committees of the ADC. No reason was given for the shift, announced after lawyers and journalists waited over two hours. The appellants challenge Justice Joyce Abdulmalik's decision that blocked the shortening of the four-year tenure of state party officers. The plaintiffs, state chairmen of the ADC, had based their case on Section 223 of the Constitution and Article 17 of the party's constitution.
