Approximately 19,000 displaced households live in alarming conditions in Rutshuru

Approximately 19,000 displaced households are living in alarming humanitarian conditions in Kikuku, Kyahala, and Mirangi in Rutshuru due to clashes between AFC-M23 and Wazalendo. These populations have fled the fighting since September 2025 and have received no humanitarian assistance for over eight months. The organization SOCOLU is calling for urgent aid to provide food and medical care, as local health centers are lacking in medications.
