The Dangote Group is preparing a new industrial phase with a 20,000 megawatt electricity generation program, a capacity greater than Nigeria's current installed capacity. Aliko Dangote presented these projects during an interview with IFC's Makhtar Diop in Washington. He also mentioned an IPO of the Lagos refinery (sale of 25% stake) with potential dividends of $20-25 billion, and ambitions in fertilizers (12 million tonnes of urea) and mining (potash and phosphate in the Republic of Congo). The refinery currently processes 661,000 barrels per day.
