Army, DSS, others gun down scores as over 300 bandits invade Niger communities

Troops of the Nigerian Army, operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS), and local volunteer forces neutralized several bandits during a foiled attack on Bagna and Erena communities in Shiroro Local Government Area, Niger State. Security expert Zagazola Makama reported that over 300 armed bandits were headed to the communities but were ambushed by security operatives and volunteers, resulting in the deaths of many attackers.
