Irregular Interception: How Bissau-Guinean Coast Guards Operate in Senegalese Waters

Five Senegalese fishing pirogues with 25 fishermen were intercepted by Bissau-Guinean coast guards near Valera. The GPS position (12°22'03" N – 16°48'82" W) is within Senegalese jurisdiction. Senegalese authorities have been alerted and are working to secure the release of the boats and arrange their return to Cap Skirring.
