Artists, Producers Face Royalty Payout Delays After KECOBO Suspends KAMP

The Kenya Copyright Board (KECOBO) suspended the Kenya Association of Music Producers' (KAMP) licence for 90 days effective July 1, 2026. The Performing and Audio-Visual Rights Society of Kenya (PAVRISK) will collect royalties on an interim basis. Royalties collected during the suspension will be held in a separate account and not distributed until further notice, causing delays for artists and producers.
