ASURI declares indefinite strike, picketing at NIMR over retirement dispute

ASURI has declared an immediate total and indefinite strike at the Nigerian Institute of Medical Research (NIMR) over the 'unlawful' retirement of senior research directors. In a notice to the Director General of NIMR, the union expressed disappointment at this decision, which violates the 2019 Conditions of Service. Picketing at the institute will commence immediately, without further notice, in response to what they view as an industrial provocation.
