At least 470 young people in entrepreneurship training in Kananga

From May 13 to 19, at least 470 young people are participating in entrepreneurship training in Kananga, Kasaï-Central province. Initiated by the Provincial Youth Council, this session aims to equip participants with the skills needed to create their own jobs in the face of high unemployment rates. Emmanuel Kabangu, president of the Council, emphasizes the importance of this initiative for the economic empowerment of youth in a province affected by a poverty rate of 79.9%. Approximately 90% of active youth in Kananga work in the informal sector due to a lack of opportunities in the formal public and private sectors.
