Cross-Border Trade: ECOWAS Intensifies Support for Women Entrepreneurs in the Abidjan-Lagos Corridor

ECOWAS reaffirmed its commitment to women traders in the Abidjan-Lagos corridor during a campaign in Abidjan. Massandjé Touré-Litsé highlighted that 70 to 80% of cross-border traders in this region are women, who play a key role in the West African economy, particularly in agriculture and crafts. ECOWAS plans to accelerate mechanisms to facilitate women's trade activities, leveraging existing legal instruments.
