Hungary’s parliament votes to oust president in latest anti-Orban move

Hungary's parliament approved a constitutional amendment to remove President Tamas Sulyok, a former ally of ex-Prime Minister Viktor Orban. The measure passed 139-6, immediately ending Sulyok's term. New Prime Minister Peter Magyar, who came to power in April after Orban's defeat, is leading the effort to dismantle the previous regime's influence. The amendment also includes judicial reforms and an investigation into alleged financial abuses.
