Xenophobic: Tinubu drags South Africa to AU

President Bola Tinubu formally reported the recurring xenophobic and Afrophobic attacks in South Africa to the African Union, calling for urgent collective action. He expressed Nigeria's position at the 21st Extraordinary Session of the AU in Luanda, Angola, through Vice President Kashim Shettima. Tinubu urged that these incidents be placed on the agenda for the 40th Ordinary Session of the Assembly scheduled for January 2027, emphasizing the need to preserve African unity.
