Bad land policies worsen Africa’s housing problem

African countries continue to struggle with housing challenges due to rapid urbanization and inadequate land policies. Anaclaudia Rossbach, executive director of UN-Habitat, highlighted that 2.8 billion people live in inadequate housing, with 300 million people homeless. Access to land issues, particularly for women and girls, exacerbate the housing affordability crisis.
