Benin: Specialists in robbery by strangulation arrested in Pahou – La Nouvelle Tribune

Two individuals wanted for robbery with violence by strangulation were arrested at dawn on June 8, 2026 in Pahou by Commissioner Tossou Hervé Xavier. They had attacked a taxi driver on February 6, 2026, strangling him with a rope, robbing him of his belongings and his Toyota Camry vehicle. The same driver recognized them on June 7 in Godomey, leading to their arrest after surveillance. One suspect confessed to selling the vehicle in a neighboring country for 500,000 CFA francs.
