Benin: FCBE justifies its shift towards the presidential majority

On May 17, Prosper Adoukonou, legal advisor of FCBE, explained the reasons for the party's alignment with the presidential majority, based on agreements with the Progressive Union for Renewal and the Republican Bloc. The decision, made official on May 9, was influenced by the resignation of Paul Hounkpè, former presidential candidate. Adoukonou stated that FCBE is committed to participating in the governance of elected president Romuald Wadagni, while clarifying that Hounkpè remains a member of the party despite his resignation from leadership.
