Benin: Construction of the Sètto–Dassa-Zoumé road announced for next quarter

Reconstruction of the Sètto–Dassa-Zoumé road in Benin will begin next quarter, as announced on July 16, 2026 in Cotonou during the 10th ordinary session of the MCA-Bénin Régional board. New board president Orou Hermann Takou emphasized that the project is a priority, following the completion of technical and financial preparations. This road corridor aims to improve traffic flow, reduce transport costs, and boost economic exchanges in central Benin. The meeting also marked the first anniversary of the regional Compact's entry into force.
