Benin passport: renewal now possible remotely for the diaspora in 30 minutes – La Nouvelle Tribune

Benin has launched a new procedure allowing nationals living abroad to renew their passport remotely via the ePASS application, without traveling. The process, doable in 30 minutes, involves downloading the app, creating an account with the Personal Identification Number (NPI) and consular registration number, then submitting biometric data (photo and fingerprints) from a phone. Once approved, the passport can be delivered home, picked up at a consulate, or at the Directorate of Emigration and Immigration in Benin. The system uses biometric authentication with facial recognition and fingerprint verification.
